Rest Philanthropy Brings Christmas Cheer to Three Widows and a Widower in the Upper West Region

On December 23rd, Rest Philanthropy shared the love of Christ in a heartfelt way by donating Christmas hampers to three widows and one widower in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Inspired by the season of giving, this small yet impactful gesture aimed to bring joy and hope to these individuals as we approach Christmas.

The scripture in James 1:27 NLT reminds us of the importance of caring for widows: Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. With this verse at the heart of our mission, the team sought to reflect the love of God in a practical and meaningful way.

Each recipient received a hamper filled with essential items to meet their daily needs and brighten their holiday season. The contents of the hampers included food items, toiletries, and other thoughtful gifts, reminding them that they are not forgotten, even in their moments of solitude.

One of the widows, overwhelmed with gratitude, shared, “This is the first time someone has remembered me during Christmas. May God bless you for bringing joy to my heart.” Such moments underscore the profound impact of small acts of kindness inspired by the love of Christ.
